An indispensable link in the design
Reducing CO2 emissions is of vital importance to the automotive industry. Steel makes up half of a passenger car's weight. As such, we are an important link in the design. Of all high-grade automotive steel, 97% or more is recycled. This makes steel a truly circular material.
We supply different grades of automotive steel. Of exceptionally high strength or with specific properties, with which our customers can make increasingly lighter and more economical car parts, while maintaining safety. OR: more economical, but at least as safe. We supply steel for the body, chassis, exterior panels and interior. We also produce steel for the heart of electric vehicles: batteries and e-engines. We are the only supplier in Europe that offers this complete range.
Within the not-too-distant future, we will all be driving electric and, in part, autonomous vehicles. But the main focus is on sustainability. We are anticipating these developments in our work. We help cars become more sustainable throughout their lifespan.
