How does our steel help?
The steel that is made in IJmuiden is turned into tubes by our Tubes business, at locations in Oosterhout and Zwijndrecht. These tubes - like our specially developed Contiflo® - make sure hot water flows through heating systems such as radiators and underfloor heating. That’s how you end up with a nice, warm living room. No steel, no heat!
...our tubes are used for many more applications? Every year, we use 35,000 tonnes of steel to make around 40,000 kilometres of tubes. That’s enough to circle the globe once a year!
